The department of History in NSS College, Nemmara began to function in the year 1967. It contributes very much to the upkeep of a vibrant intellectual atmosphere on the college campus. The department with BA programme was started in 1970. Students of this department have secured many high grade marks in the university level. The department provides CUCBCSS (Calicut University Choice Based Credit Semester System) BA programme in History.
