Welcome to SANSKRIT DEPARTMENT/SAMSKRITI CLUB

The Samskriti club was formed on 16-11-2011 under the initiative of the Dept. of Sanskrit, HOD Smt. Suja.P.

The main aims of this club are:-

  • Building up interaction and unity among Sanskrit students.
  • Organize various co-curricular activities for students.
  • Inculcate leadership and presentation skillsin students.
  • To carry out various extension activities of the department.
  • Samskriti club organized and inaugurated a hand written magazine among students in each year.
  • Club inauguration and Magazine publication are celebrated in this function.
  • In this function cultural activities like “Chakyar Koothu” a Classical performing art also will be conducted for students awareness with demonstration.
  • The Department has organized a literary club for encouraging linguistic skill of students.

COURSE DETAIL

Language Sanskrit as an Elective option under Part II- Second language (common course) for UG students and complimentary course for BA Program Malayalam (sub) for BA Malayalam Students.

 

Papers for this course are:

  • First year B.A/ B.sc/ B.com/ B.BA and B.Sc Instrumentation Paper I
  • Second year B.A/ B.Sc Paper II & III
  • First year B.A Malayalam complimentary course.
  • Second year B.A Malayalam complimentary II
  • The Exam duration is 3 hours.
  • Internal 20, EXTERNAL 80, Total 100.
  • For B.Sc Instrumentation second Language is a nonconventional course.

Extension activity

  • 16-11-2011 a club introduced and inaugurated in the name of`samskritiandhas published a Magazine in the name of ‘Samskriti’ for Sanskrit students.After that a cultural stage programme also had conducted.
  • In the Academic year 2011-12 the Club was inaugurated by Rtd. Associate Prof. Sushama, Dept of Sanskrit, NSS College, Nemmara.
  • The Academic year 2012-13 Sanskrit club was inaugurated by Dr. E Jayan, Principal, VTB College, Mannampatta, Sreekrishnapuram. In connection with that a hand written magazine was published in the name of “Digdharsini”, after that students stage programme also had conducted.
  • Academic year 2013-14 the Sanskrit club was inaugurated and a handwritten magazine was published by Mr. Radhakrishnan, Samskrita Pratishthan Karyak, HAS Sanskrit, Alathur. In continuation of this Sanskrit drama and other stage programe also organized by the Sanskrit students.
  • Academic year 2014-15, on 04/03/2015 the Sanskrit club was inaugurated by Painkulam Narayana chakyar, a hand written magazine “Dyodhini” was published in that function. In continuation of this programme a classical performing art Chakyar Koothu also organized.
  • Academic  this Sanskrit drama and other stage programe also organized by the Sanskrit students.
  • Academic year 2014-15, on 04/03/2015 the Sanskrit club was inaugurated by Painkulam Narayana chakyar, a hand written magazine “Dyodhini” was published in that function. In continuation of this programme a classical performing art Chakyar Koothu also organized.
  • Academic year 2015-16 the Sanskrit club was inaugurated and a handwritten magazine “Nirsarani” was published in that function, after that students stage programme also will be conducted.
  • Every year at Ramayana masam, Ramayana parayanam will be organized.
